about realms of gold

In a break from tradition, the ROG Committee has almost trebled its size so it can bring you more of your writing, more of your art and more of your music. This means ROG can also think about plans to move off its website and go live so you can show the world what you do best. 2009 looks like it is going to be an exciting year at ROG!

THE TEAM

The Jameses

Rome may have had a triumvirate, but at ROG we have something far more formidable – the Jameses. Between them, the Jameses are responsible for editing, designing and managing the literary and artistic contributions you give us at ROG; it’s a big job, which is why we now have four of them to do it. With the Jameses behind ROG, the ideas in 2009 are going to be bigger, better and bolder – and we want you to be part of it!

The Jameses

The Jameses – affectionately known as Parslow (Literature Sub-editor), McCluskey (Editor), Hogan (Assistant Webmaster and Literature), Johnstone (Art Editor).

C-J Perrins (Webmaster in Chief)

The most crucial link in the ROG chain, C-J Perrins returns for a second year to ROG to bring his praticality and expertise to the rescue of the Committee. What you see on this site is all thanks to C-J and his patience as he tries to implement the sometimes ridiculous ambitions of a committee that are often easier with pens and paper than with technology.

Art

For this year ROG is lucky enough to have two editors for Art. We hope this means we will be able to see more of your work on the site and, most importantly, in the magazine at the end of the year. James Johnstone, who shoulders the role of Art Editor, and Lukey Zagami who must be one of our youngest ever Art Sub-editors, will be looking for your work to show on ROG.

Mr Wood (Commander in Chief)

Mr Wood is coming into his second year as the Master in Charge of ROG and the veterans on the team fondly believe he is maturing gracefully with our evolving publication. Our puppetmaster has attracted much fresh blood to the ROG community and has thus ensured that the glorious legacy of ROG lives on in more than the fading memories of its frail past editors.

Public Speaking, Debating

The most dynamic duo to join ROG since the famed Jamie Mulvaney, Ashwin Sivaratnam and Adam Russo have great ambitions for ROG’s first steps into the world of Public Speaking and Debating. They will chase, pester and relentlessly hound you to make sure you get your 15 minutes of fame. If they find you, surrender is the only option!

Drama

In a decision that builds on ROG’s new direction to capture the cultural life of the school, we now have Drama Editors. As Drama builds momentum in the school and moves into the curriculum, ROG thinks it is important to capture what you do. These are the men for the job – committed, talented and involved, they want your ideas and projects to come to life on our site.
