On the final day for Year 12 students, there was a busy schedule including cuff-link presentations by fathers of Year 12 students who were also Old Boys of the Grammarians’ Association in the morning, and a lunch. The big day finished with a Leavers’ Service at St Mark’s Church and a Valedictory Dinner in the evening at the Melbourne Cricket Ground with parents and staff. For all students, teachers and parents it was a day filled with a mixed emotions, excitement and memories. It was a wonderful way to celebrate the conclusion of the Year 12 student's formal schooling at CGS. The whole School community thank them for their contributions to CGS and to wish them well in their final examinations.

After the Year 12 farewells, prizes for outstanding achievement were presented at our annual Prize Giving Assembly on Tuesday 22 October in the Performing Arts Centre. Our special guest speaker was Mr Rich Gilmore, who is the CEO at The Nature Conservancy Australia. During this event we welcomed the parents and families of our Prize Winners to attend and to share in our congratulations and recognition of these students from the Senior School. In addition, we acknowledged the achievements of the Duces of 2018, Jake Brown and Sepehr Tahmasebi, and the Proxime Accesserunts to the Duces, Alan Chen, Charles Huang, Charles Li and Anthony Stewart.

We would like to wish our Year 12 students the best of luck for their upcoming final exams!
