Welcome to Camberwell Grammar School Zero Landfill Waste Open Day!
Open Day is a Zero Landfill Waste event and showcases the school’s commitment to Net Zero by 2030 initiative. Open Day stalls are using reusable, compostable or recycled items to reduce waste emissions and increase resource recovery. All single-use landfill items have been eliminated from the Camberwell Grammar School Open Day.
Correct waste stream information can be found at each Stall or refer to the table below. FOGO bin (green lid) items will be collected and processed into compost or soil conditioner. Co-mingled bin (yellow) items will be collected and repurposed into new materials. Reused/Green My Plate bin
(pink) items will be collected, washed, and used again. Items that are taken home can be placed in home composting bins, council FOGO bins or Co-mingled bins.
Thank you to all families and visitors for managing your waste properly and in turn, supporting our sustainability goals. At Camberwell Grammar School, students are encouraged to “Think Globally, Act Locally” for a sustainable future. For more information on the school’s sustainability journey, go to the Sustainability Team at Towards 2050 stall or visit Sustainability at Camberwell Grammar.
