Laurie has worked across all sectors in secondary education since the mid-1970s, holding various positions of responsibility. After working as the Asia Pacific Regional Manager for the International Baccalaureate Organisation, based in Singapore, and as a consultant to international schools in India and Hong Kong, Laurie was appointed to Camberwell Grammar School in 2014 to develop and implement an instructional coaching program. Since 2018, Laurie has also been responsible for teaching and learning in the post-primary sections of the school.
